  2. Coated fruits: We can unanimously agree that fruits are healthy. However, coating it with sugar, chocolate, and other ingredients might take away its healthiness. Yes, we are talking about coated fruits like caramel apples, chocolate cherries, etc. Popularly consumed as a snack during festivities, these fruit preparations must be avoided because the combination of sucrose and fructose can derail you from your weight loss journey. 

  3. Candied yams: This caramelized, sweet dish is a popular dish of the holidays. Yams might be healthy plants, however, when combined with sugar and butter, these plants become loaded with calories, fats, and sugar. They can be harmful to the body and can hamper weight loss plans.
